VINYL FLOORING EXPERIMENT WE CAN ALL LEARN FROM
Vinyl flooring is one of the most popular home flooring choices today. It’s durable, easy to install, and requires very little maintenance. But how do you know if it will stand the test of time and give your home a beautiful look for years to come? That’s where this experiment comes in—we wanted to see if vinyl flooring could withstand the rigors of everyday life and still look beautiful after several years. We tested two different brands of vinyl flooring from two different manufacturers over an extended period. Read on to learn more about our experiment and the results we achieved!
An experiment with vinyl flooring
We all know how practical and affordable vinyl flooring can be. But what happens when you take this durable material and put it to the test? That’s exactly what one determined homeowner did when she decided to install vinyl flooring in her home.
The results of the experiment are both fascinating and encouraging. The homeowner found that vinyl flooring is indeed durable and easy to care for. However, she also discovered that it’s not indestructible. With proper care and maintenance, though, vinyl flooring can last for many years.
If you’re considering vinyl flooring for your home, this experiment is worth reading about. It may just give you the confidence you need to make the switch!
The results of the experiment
It’s been a little over two weeks since we installed our new luxury vinyl plank flooring and I’m absolutely in love with it! The flooring is from Armstrong and is their premium line called A64. We choose the 6″x36″ planks in the color “coastal grey.” It has a 20 mil wear layer which is supposed to be super durable (we have two dogs that sometimes have accidents). The best part is no more vacuuming and mopping every other day!
We did a little experiment to see how well the flooring held up to daily wear and tear. We placed four mats at strategic locations throughout the house: by the front door, in front of the kitchen sink, in front of the stove, and our high-traffic living room. For two weeks, we removed our shoes before entering the house and used the mats exclusively. Here are the results:
There was very little dirt or debris on the mats after two weeks. This was especially true for the mat by the front door which sees a lot of traffic. We were really surprised at how clean they were!
The mats did not slide around or bunch up at all during those two weeks. They stayed firmly in place even with constant foot traffic.
There were no scratches or scuffs on any of the mats. The finish held up well against everything from pet nails to high heels.
What we can learn from the experiment
There are a lot of things that we can learn from the experiment conducted by the company on their new product, vinyl flooring. For one, we can learn about the product itself and how it works. We can also learn about the company’s marketing strategy and how they plan to sell the product. Furthermore, we can learn about the customer’s reaction to the product and whether or not they would recommend it to others.
